About the Aspire Kids Club Program at Orchard Place Community

We believe every child deserves the opportunity to succeed in life and education is the foundation for a brighter future.

Our goal is that every child achieves grade-level reading by the end of 3rd grade. We achieve this goal through several outcome-based programs offered on-site to youth and their parents living at Orchard Place.

Student Success

Kids Club strives to improve children’s access to opportunities to improve their readiness for school, reach grade-level reading, and improve graduation rates.

Family Navigators partner with parents and children to connect them to new educational programs and services. Navigators talk with you about your child’s unique needs and help you identify and enroll in activities that improve your child’s success in school including:

  • After School Programs with Boys and Girls Club
  • Tutoring
  • Access to Technology (such as Chromebooks)
  • Scholarships
  • Ready 4K (Click Here to Enroll)
  • 20/20 Literacy

Enrolling your child in Kids Club will boost their confidence and build the skills they need for a bright future.

Family Life

Kids Club is not just for kids. We believe strong, healthy families are important, too. Kids Club provides families with opportunities to participate in on-site education programs, recreation, health, and community leadership. Family Navigators also work with parents to identify programs and resources that strengthen your family. These can include:

  • Book and Game Libraries
  • Workshops
  • Mental Health Services through Summitstone Mental Health Partners
  • Parent Classes with The Matthews House
  • Emergency Assistance Funds
  • Food Assistance
  • Leadership Council

These programs bring your family together and build on your strengths as a parent.

Summer Boost

Did you know that 86% of a child’s learning time is spent at home and only 14% at school? Our Summer Boost programs offer the perfect opportunity for children to work on their reading and math skills while having fun with their friends and neighbors. The best part is, all of this happens right in the community at the clubhouse and on the playground. Kids Club Summer programs include:

  • Reading Challenges
  • STEM Workshops
  • Field Trips
  • Ongoing Technology Activities
  • Full Day Child Care for ages 5+ with Boys and Girls Club
  • Chilson Recreational Bus
  • Mobile Library

Summer Boost programs are one of the best ways to help your child stay on track with their learning and help them get off to a great start the following school year.

Little Learners

Kids Club understands the importance of preparing young children for school. Our Little Learners programs are set up to support children aged 0-5, and their parents, prepare for elementary school. As a parent, you are your children’s first and best teacher. For that reason, Kids Club provides parents and their little learners with tools, skills, and activities that can easily be done at home or on the go. Our Family Navigator also works with you to enroll children in preschool and other early childhood programs. On-site resources for you and your little ones include:

  • Early Childhood Groups
  • Ready 4K
  • Library of games and books for little ones
  • IPad literacy software
  • Chilson Recreation Bus
  • Preschool Information

Early learning starts at home and is the key to preparing your children for their entire school career.
