Aspire and the Loveland Housing Authority (LHA) are committed to helping moderate to low-income families become self-sufficient and independent of government aid.

The Aspire – Loveland Housing Authority Scholarship Fund was created to encourage higher education and as a result, promote community responsibility, develop self-sufficiency, and increase self-esteem. Aspire-LHA Scholarships are to benefit high school seniors and adults entering secondary education who reside in Loveland Housing Authority communities or participate in the Section 8 Program and wish to continue their education.

Applications are accepted on an on-going basis; deadlines for consideration are:

Spring semester – January 6th
Fall Semester – August 15th

 

Criteria

 

LHA resident or client for a minimum of 1 year.

Provide a letter of good standing from your LHA Housing Coordinator or Section 8 Landlord.

High school graduation/GED equivalency diploma (funding may be available for GED completion.

Full or part-time attendance at an accredited school

Willingness to participate in scholarship recognition events.

Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50.
