Welcome to the Aspire Quarterly Newsletter!
Volume I, Issue No. 1 Fall 2025
Dear Friend,
I’m thrilled to share the Aspire Quarterly Newsletter, highlighting the people, partnerships, and progress shaping our communities.
Whether you live in one of Loveland Housing Authority’s (LHA) properties, collaborate with us as a partner, or support our mission in other ways, thank you. Each of you plays a part in making Aspire’s work possible.
At Aspire, we believe housing is just the beginning. Every person deserves to be surrounded by a community that recognizes their potential, supports their goals, and celebrates their achievements. That belief guides our work.
As the service partner of LHA, our mission is to provide LHA residents with individualized support that promotes increased well-being, independence, and housing stability. This past year, we directly helped 1,105 LHA residents in Northern Colorado, providing 5,239 service sessions and making 940 referrals to partner organizations.
This newsletter offers a glimpse of our mission in action. Inside, you’ll discover stories of neighbors who inspire us, meet our partners who make programs possible, discover new opportunities for residents, and see the real impact of your support. Together, we are building vibrant communities where everyone can thrive.
Thank you for being a part of the Aspire community. Please enjoy the first edition of our newsletter.
With Gratitude,
Abigail Kaup
Development and Grants Coordinator
Meet the Resident Service Coordinators
Our Resident Service Coordinators (RSCs) make our mission possible—they’re the dedicated professionals who work alongside residents every day. They provide personalized support, connect families with resources, and build meaningful relationships that help our communities thrive. RSCs help residents access essential resources, such as food, healthcare, financial assistance, and provide individualized support with housing challenges. Ready to connect? Resident Success Stories
Jessica’s Journey
When Jessica moved into Willow Place, she described herself as being at a “low point.” After leaving a difficult relationship, she arrived at Willow Place with her one-year-old twins and five-year-old son, unsure of what the future would hold.
Willow Place is an LHA community designed for low-income, single-parent families. Affordable LHA housing, along with Aspire’s support services and participation in Project Self-Sufficiency gave Jessica more than just a safe place to call home. It provided stability, support, and time to focus on her family’s well-being while she worked toward her long-term goals.
“I remember thinking, what am I gonna do?” Jessica recalled. But Willow Place was a “powerful place.” It allowed her space to heal and grow. “We celebrated five rounds of birthdays, Christmases, summers. I started and completed school and became a nurse. It was hard and a lot of work, but we did it.”
Now, Jessica has moved out of affordable housing and into a place of her own and has more job offers than she knows what to do with.
Before leaving Willow Place, Jessica wanted to leave some words of encouragement for the next resident. In a handwritten note, Jessica writes, “If you are moving in here, things are probably tough. It also means you are working towards more. You got this!”
Her words get to the heart of Aspire’s mission. Our residents are diverse and bring with them complex and varied backgrounds, each deserving of community, care, and support. That’s what we do—we help our residents on their journeys toward well-being, independence, and housing stability. Whether it’s connecting families to community resources, providing opportunities for personal growth, or simply offering encouragement during challenging times.
As Jessica reminds us, “Whatever journey you’re on, know that someone is rooting for you!”
Aspire’s rooting for you, too.

Partner Spotlight: Realities for Children
This quarter, we’re excited to feature Realities for Children, a valued partner that shares Aspire’s commitment to supporting low-income youth and families.
Since 1995, Realities for Children has been addressing the unmet needs of Larimer County children who have been abused, neglected, or are at-risk. They provide critical emergency funding when all other resources are exhausted, and support kids through programs like the Back to School Collections, Bikes for Tykes, and Santa’s Workshop.
Aspire became a Realities for Children Partner Agency in 2024. Since then, they have supported Aspire through emergency funding, youth activities, and item distributions. Together, Aspire and Realities for Children strengthen families, improve the lives of children, and help make Northern Colorado a thriving, resilient community.

Residents’ Corner
Welcome to the Residents’ Corner! Discover programs, opportunities, and resources created specifically for LHA residents and their families. Check out what’s happening:

Aspire’s Youth Leadership program helps young residents build confidence, develop leadership skills, and connect with peers. Youth ages 11-18 take part in activities such as educational workshops, games, shared meals, and more, all aimed at helping them learn, grow, and have fun.
For more information on how to join, reach out to Resident Service Coordinator, Star Lapoehn.
Kids’ Club at Willow Place is a fun, after-school program where kids take part in hands-on, educational activities that help them develop a sense of responsibility, community pride, and social connection.
Each week, kids practice environmental stewardship and enjoy outdoor games and activities. For more information about how to get involved, contact Riley Jacobs.
We’re excited to announce that seven residents were awarded an Educational Enrichment Scholarship to help cover tuition costs for the 2025 fall semester. These scholarships help community members achieve their educational and career goals.
This year’s recipients are pursuing studies in paralegal work, automotive work, database administration, healthcare, and more. By investing in the education of our residents, we create lasting change—not just for the individuals, but for their families and the entire community.
Learn more about the Aspire-LHA Educational Enrichment Scholarship by clicking here. Applications for the 2026 spring semester are due January 6, 2026.
